Not your typical coding class! In this coding camp, we don’t do boring lessons and pointless assignments — we learn coding while making fun & creative projects using the Circuit Playground Express. We start with the basics of how to ‘speak code’ before moving on to block-based coding, basic robotics and more advanced topics, allowing students to focus on how to think like a coder. In this camp, we use the popular Circuit Playground Express board to build projects that move, blink, beep and surprise. The Circuit Playground is a small microcontroller board with built-in LEDs, buttons, and sensors built in. Designed specifically for novice programmers, the Circuit Playground enables students to get up and running quickly with physical computing without worrying about many of the traditional barriers to entry. No experience is needed for this fun & fast-paced way to learn coding basics and make some cool stuff! Students will go home with a Circuit Playground Express, which students can use for future coding and robotics projects.
